Top Tips to Get You Toned in 2024

Loads of people talk about getting more toned for the summer, but what does that term even mean?

When someone is toned, it means that they’ve built a good amount of muscle, and have also lost enough weight to reveal all that hard work! With that in mind, getting toned means more than just dieting – it requires some hard work in the gym and a mind for nutrition. If you’re looking for that strong, lean look, here’s what you need to do to achieve it in 2024.

Slimming Supplements

Having a load of muscle isn’t going to give you the physique you want if you don’t also shed some body fat to show off what you’ve built. However, weight loss isn’t always easy or simple, and there are a few slimming products that could help you get there.

Supplements can be a great help on your health and fitness journey, but it’s important that you’re careful about choosing the best ones for you and your body’s needs. From waist trainers to protein powders and fat burners, figure out what additional assistance will benefit you most before spending your money.

Proper Nutrition

Your diet and eating habits can be tricky when it comes to looking toned. On the one hand, you need to make sure you’re eating enough calories and protein to build that muscle that forms the foundation of your toned body.

However, you also need to remember that a high body fat percentage will probably hide all that muscle you’re building! Many people choose to focus on building muscle first, a few weeks or eating a little bit more and working hard in the gym. Once the muscle is there, they’ll spend a few weeks reducing their portions to lose some body fat and reveal their hard work. Keep in mind that the scale might go up, but what really matters is what you see in the mirror.

Effective Workouts

Whether you’re bulking or cutting, working hard in the gym is non-negotiable. You need to make sure that your workouts are consistent and effective if you want to see results.

Lifting weights and strength training, partnered with some cardio or HIIT training, is the ideal combination for a lean and toned look. Picking out a workout program and then following the same combination of exercises for at least 6-8 weeks is a great way to monitor your progress and really see results. Remember – consistency is key!

Rest and Recovery

A lot of people think that to achieve their goal body, more is always better. More workouts, more dieting, more hard work!

While giving it your all is never a bad thing, it’s also important to remember the crucial role of rest and recovery in both muscle building and weight loss. Your muscles need to rest in order to rebuild, and tiring yourself out so badly that you end up starving and binge eating every evening will ruin your progress. Instead, incorporate rest days every week, and make sure you’re eating well enough to recover properly.
