How To Level Up Your Fitness

CrossFit community

The world of fitness can sometimes be confusing, with so many workouts available and what seems to be a CrossFit gym on every corner, it can be hard to know which steps to take to increase your fitness level and workout more effectively.

There are many reasons why you want to level up your fitness and there are some innovative and exciting ideas that can give you the jumpstart you need. Levelling up your fitness game does not mean renovating your home and adding a piece of advanced equipment, you can begin by adding to and altering your current fitness routine.

Whether you are currently on a fitness journey and are ready to level up your game or you are new to fitness and want some tips and pointers to start working out more efficiently, you’ve come to the right place.

If you are struggling with your current exercises, there are tons of choices you can make that will increase your motivation and drive to level up.

Here are some effective ideas that can revolutionize your fitness level.

  1. Cardio Cardio Cardio

Your cardio level is the basic foundation of your fitness level. To have a well-rounded routine, you want to make sure you don’t only use cardio to lose weight. While strength training is also important, you will find yourself struggling if your cardio level does not match that of your strength training level.

As with all things, the foundation and getting back to the basics are important. Having a good cardio and endurance level will completely change the way you conduct your exercise and allow you to take your fitness to the next level.

  1. Introduce New Exercises

Sometimes routine can get the better of us, and we get stuck in the same routine without changing it up. When it comes to fitness this is even more challenging, but it is important to change up your routine often, to train all the muscles in your body.

Your body will start to remember your exercises, and you can get into a rut where your efforts are not as efficient as they could be. By adding new exercises to your routine, and changing up the way you do your current exercises, you will find your body responding to the changes in a positive way.

Making sure your routine is fresh and new is also good for your mind, and drive. Sometimes if you are doing the same thing every day it can feel tedious. If you change up your routine it will keep both your mind and body fresh and driven to perform.

  1. Upgrading or Adding to your Equipment

If you currently have a home gym set up, but you are working out with less reliable equipment, it may be time for an upgrade. Whether that means adding new weights or looking into a bowflex c6 bike, there is always room for an upgrade when it comes to your equipment. You can start small by adding a workout mat to your area or go big by purchasing a weight system.

If you have been struggling to get your workouts done, and have had your eye on that one new piece of equipment that can aid you, now is a great time to get it. No matter what equipment you have, you may benefit from an upgrade or adding something small such as a medicine ball.

No matter what you are doing, you are only as good as your equipment, and ensuring you have what you need to complete your fitness routine is a great way to level up.

  1. Increasing Workout Time and Repetitions

If you generally give one hour a day to your workout routine and have it well planned and organized, you may find it seeming less challenging and a bit boring.

Increasing your workout time and repetition is a great way to increase your fitness level, and train your body past what it is used to. Giving yourself more time every day to exercise will increase your fitness levels in dramatic ways. Your muscles will train until a certain point, and if you keep the same activities and timeframes you will not be able to train past that point.

Constantly increasing your repetitions and workout time, as your body adjusts, you will find yourself making gains and feeling the burn of an effective workout. Don’t let your body get used to your workouts and slip into complacency.

By increasing reps and workout length and intensity, your fitness level will increase in ways you didn’t know were possible.

  1. Personal Trainer

If you are finding yourself struggling with your workout routine, and are having problems taking it to the next level, seeking some professional help may be a good step to take. IF your workout routine feels like it is lacking something, or you feel like maybe you aren’t working out the way you should be, a personal trainer is a great idea.

Personal trainers will teach you not only what workouts to do, but how to do them properly. The goal of a personal trainer is to educate and motivate, and for some people, this can be the change they need to level up.

Sometimes motivation is more important than anything, and if you are constantly working out alone you may find your desire to do better waning. Working out with a personal trainer can get you back on track and truly motivated to level up your fitness game.

No matter what stage you are at in your fitness journey, there are always ways you can level up and improve your workouts and fitness. If you have been struggling with feeling complacent in your routine, or have been lacking motivation, you can take steps towards lowering these feelings and falling in love with fitness all over again.

No matter how you choose to progress on your journey, it is possible. Whether you choose to add new workouts, upgrade your equipment or seek some professional help with your workouts, you can take it to the next level. With dedication and some changes, your exercise routine can be successful and transform your fitness level.
