2012 Reebok CrossFit Games Open: Day 1 Results

We are just 24-hours into the 2012 Reebok CrossFit Games Open and here is where the leaderboards stand at 12pm Sydney time (5pm Pacific).

2012 CrossFit Games Open: Women’s Leaderboard at 5pm Pacific Time

For the women, 26-year-old Katie Schmitz of affiliate, Fit 2 Fight CrossFit, from the North Central Region is leading the female field with 125 reps. She is closely followed by the tied second place running of the 37-year-old Pamela Gagnon of CrossFit Charlotte of the Mid Atlantic Region and the 28-year-old Kim Wong of CrossFit 760, reigning from the Southern California Region, both with 124 reps. In tenth place, the 31-year-old Stacey DelPreore, from the North East Region, with 115 repetitions rounds out the top-ten.

2012 CrossFit Games Open: Mens Leaderboard at 5pm Pacific Time

For the men, 31-year-old Drew Mckenzie training out of CrossFit Hyperformance, from the South East Region, comes in with first place with 158 reps. In second is 37-year-old Travis Page from CrossFit Distinction out of the Central East Region. Third place goes to Tim Blackstone with 148 reps from the North Central Region and training at the CrossFit Minnesota affiliate. Rounding out the top-ten for the men is the 25-year-old Basile Beaty, from CrossFit Mean Streets, who falls into the always-strong Southern California Region, with 134 repetitions.

2012 CrossFit Games Open: Team Leaderboard 5pm Pacific Time

For the affiliates, CrossFit Wilmington from the Mid Atlantic Region is in first place, with 629 repetitions. Followed by fellow Mid Atlantic Regional affiliate, CrossFit Katy, with 624. Trident CrossFit, who comes from the South Central Region, currently holds third place, with 623 reps.

In the first 24-hours there have been some impressive numbers but the leader board is sure to change. We will try and keep you posted as best we can.

I will say reporting these results took much longer than expected as I did have a few issues with the Reebok CrosssFit Games site. Although it does appear to be working much better than last year, I’m sure the pure volume of people searching for results does slow it down. In any event, we will do out best to get you the most up to date and relevant information as possible.
