Do you have a tight schedule such that you rarely get time for yourself? Well, you might be putting your health at risk. Whichever duty that you’re attending to, work or school or even both, you must allocate time for exercise, eating well, and pampering yourself to maintain and enjoy good health.
Remember, if your health is deteriorating you’ll not be able to attend to any of the tasks that are keeping. Here is how you can always ensure you’re well:
Regular exercise not only keeps your body fit but also your mind as well. It helps you to maintain your body weight hence reducing the risk of suffering from disorders such as obesity, diabetes 2, lung and heart diseases. Being physically active also improves your energy making you productive as well. Outside of CrossFit and functional fitness training, try different training such as swimming, aerobics and jogging to get all your muscles fit. However, wear the right gear always to avoid injuries.
2. Eat Well
When you are busy, you may find yourself skipping breakfast and taking fast food regularly which is not good for your health. Fast food contains more calories that are harmful to your body. Skipping breakfast makes you hungrier for the entire day hence more possibility of eating non-healthy meals. Ensure your breakfast contains proteins, e.g. eggs and whole grain to keep your appetite low during the day. However, bring vegetables and nuts to your office to snack whenever you need to boost your energy.
3. Take Supplements
Consider adding supplements on top of your balanced diet to gain more nutrients in your body. Calcium supplements strengths your muscles and bones and so, you don’t have to experience joint pains or unable to lift weights. 4. Get Enough Sleep
Despite being in a tight schedule, you should ensure you sleep for about 7-9 hours a day. Sufficient sleep helps you to relax and manages your stress hence fights depression.
5. Drink more water
Take a bottle of water with you always. Dehydration causes dizziness and constipation among other health risks. Taking more water will also reduce the chance of having other fluids that contain calories such as soda that are harmful to you.
6. Visit your dentist regularly
Ensure you check on your oral hygiene as well by brushing and flossing your teeth at least twice in a day to avoid tooth decay. Plan in your busy schedule to see your dentist after every six months for oral checkups.
Sometimes being in good health is a choice. And just like you choose to be happy, you can maintain your good health by practicing the above tips. If you hardly can’t go a day without a meal despite being busy, then you can as well get at least 30minutes to work out every day. After all, you don’t have to go to your CrossFit gym every day; you can do yoga or pilates first thing in the morning right under your own roof!
