The Nike MetCon 1 (short for “metabolic conditioning”) was first available to the public in early 2015, a short time after Nike made its emergence on the functional fitness scene, sponsoring Games athletes Josh Bridges, Brandon Swan, Khan Porter, Kenneth Leverich and Alexandra LaChance as well as the successful team CrossFit Invictus.
In this video review, we give our thoughts on the Nike MetCon 1, comparing it to some other leading functional fitnes shoes on the market, including the Reebok CrossFit Nano, and the Inov-8 F-Lite 235’s.
We highlight the good features and bad features of the shoe, where we think Nike went right and wrong, and let you know whether we think the Nike MetCon 1 is worth purchasing.
