Julie Foucher Scores 274 in Workout 13.2

Well there was plenty of talk about Annie Thorisdottir’s head to head battle with Lindsey Valenzuela in workout 13.2 on Wednesday night Pacific Time, but another top Games athlete also performed the workout in front of a camera.

Runner-up at last year’s CrossFit Games, Julie Foucher, was one of the first athletes to complete the 10 minute AMRAP, and while she didn’t beat Thoridottir’s score, she still completed an impressive 274 reps.

Foucher, who says she’s taking a year break from the sport to concentrate on her studeis, has performed well so far in the 2013 CrossFit Open, finishing 52nd worldwide in workout 13.1.

Time will only tell if Foucher competes at the Regionals this year, but first she has to finish in the top 48 in her Region during the Open to qualify. At this stage she is on track, but with three more workouts to come, anything can happen!
