Slice of Heaven by Rogue Fitness

Rogue Fitness HQ Gym

Bill Henniger, owner of Rogue Fitness, walking through the new gym

I just saw a little slice of CrossFit heaven. Rogue Fitness has just finished building their new Rogue Fitness HQ gym and placed it on display for all to see.

The gym was built and designed in part by the 2009 CrossFit Games Champion, Mikko Salo. “Bill Henniger had this idea that I would help to design this gym. He said to me that you could like do what ever you want here. So it was pretty cool,” said Salo.

Henniger, the owner of Rogue Fitness explains, “during the Games, talked to Mikko, told him, hey we will fly you to Columbus, you can live with us for 3 months and you can also help me built the new Rogue Gym,” and from all appearances it looks like an amazing space.

I had actually seen most of the area in the recent series the CrossFit Journal filmed, “Training With Champions,” in which Mikko and Dan Baily were shown working inside the gym. Yet this is the first time I have seen the space in full detail and heard how it was designed.

Imagine a place where every Olympic bar, bumper plate, GHD, flying pullup bar, sled, reverse hyper, wall ball, infinity rig and every piece of Rogue equipment was at your fingertips and this is what you have. For a person like myself who is obsessed with Rogue’s equipment, this gym is the equivalent of child in a candy shop. I think I’m salivating right now.

You can see more of the gym below.
