As we all know, the new year is all about new beginnings and resolutions.

With the 2013 CrossFit season about to get underway, we caught up with some of the world’s best known CrossFitter’s to find out what their resolutions are for 2013.

Today we reveal Regional Champion and dual CrossFit Games competitor Chad Mackay.

After finding CrossFit in 2009, Mackay made his debut at the Australian CrossFit Regionals in 2010, where he finished 2nd.

A few months later, he competed in his first ever CrossFit Games, where he surprised many by beating former Games champions Jason Khalipa and James Fitzgerald, finishing 12th overall.

In 2011, Mackay suffered a serious groin injury which forced him to miss the Regionals and subsequently the Games.

However, in 2012, Mackay made a return to the competitive floor in devastating fashion, winning the Australian Regional title and finishing 9th at the CrossFit Games.

Here is his New Year’s Resolution for 2013:

– Continue to develop as an athlete both physically and mentally. -Invest time learning new skills
– Get back out in the ocean and surf
– Continue practicing Yoga
– Stay injury free

We reveal another top CrossFitter’s New Year’s resolution tomorrow.
