As we all know, the new year is all about new beginnings and resolutions.

With the 2013 CrossFit season about to get underway, we caught up with some of the world’s best known CrossFitter’s to find out what their resolutions are for 2013.

Today we reveal three-time CrossFit Games competitor and Level-1 trainer Austin Malleolo.

In 2010 Austin Malleolo was the surprise packet at the CrossFit Games. After scraping into the Games by finishing 3rd at the North East Regionals, Malleolo went on to finish in the top 10 in every event, ending up 6th overall.

After dominating the 2011 CrossFit Open, finishing 5th worldwide, and then claiming a Regional title, Malleolo entered the 2011 CrossFit Games with huge expectations.

Unfortunately, he couldn’t live up to them, struggling in a number of events and finishing 18th overall.

However, after another dominant year at the Open and the Regionals in 2012, Malleolo showed the CrossFit world he is far from a spent force, finishing 8th overall in one of the toughest year’s yet.

Here is his New Year’s resolution for 2013:

“For me my resolution is to train smarter, move better and have fun during my training!”

We’ll reveal another top CrossFitter’s New Year’s resolution tomorrow.
