Men’s Fitness Magazine is getting behind the 2012 Reebok CrossFit Games, releasing a series of interviews with top Games competitors this month.
So far they have chatted to Spencer Hendel and Scott Paltos, and this week Dan Bailey answered a few questions about this years top CrossFit event.
In the interview, last years Open winner talks a bit about his training regime leading up to the Games, which involved tough sessions with Mikko Salo, 2010 winner Graham Holmberg, and last years champ Rich Froning Jr.
Bailey also talks about his first ever workout, which just happened to be the brutal nasty girl WOD, ‘Fran’, and responds to some criticisms of CrossFit.
After only picking up the sport two years ago, Bailey has had a rapid rise to the top, finishing 6th overall in the Games last year, and sits 10th in The Rx Review’s latest rankings.
It will be interesting to see how he fares at next weekends Games.
