These days it seems like CrossFitters are popping up everywhere. From Christmas Abbott making her appearance in the NASCAR pits, Rich Froning Jr on the cover of Muscle & Fitness, Steve Willis on Australia’s Biggest Loser, Bob Harper on the US version of the Biggest Loser, Carter Williams on Survivor, and now a set of CrossFitting twins on this seasons The Amazing Race.
The 26-year-old Natalie and Nadiya Anderson from Edgewater, New Jersey listed CrossFit as one of their hobbies on their CBS bio page.
In an interview on Tuesday with Daily Mirror Life, the twins answered question about their fitness. As they noted:
We think we are handling ourselves amazing in terms of fitness, being one of only two female/female teams, we knew that upper body strength would be something we needed to work on. We have always been athletes, we swim, play rugby, basketball, track and field and have always stayed active but for the race we knew we needed to focus on strength, so we took up CrossFit (heavy lifting and strength training) and worked out five days a week for three months prior to filming/competing on The Race.
The Amazing Race is a gruelling race around the world so it will be interesting to see how well they do.
