CrossFit Regionals: Central East Update

There’s no denying the Central East CrossFit Regionals is living up to it’s expectations.

After two days of competition we have already seen a number of word records broken, and plenty of big names deliver on the big occasion.

With only two events remaining, last years champ Rich Froning leads the men’s comp by three points to Dan Bailey, with Graham Holmberg in third spot overall. Both Bailey and Froning have already broken world records over the weekend, and with one day of competition remaining we might see even more tumble.

In the women’s half, Julie Foucher leads the field with top two finishes in all events thus far. Last year’s fifth place getter is ahead of Lindsay Smith by eight points, with Heather Welsh rounding out the top three.

Just like Froning, Foucher broke a world record with her remarkable performance in the final event of the day (Saturday).

SPC CrossFit has been the standout in the team’s section, winning three of out the four events. Rogue Gahanna and CrossFit Maximus are in second and third spots.
