CrossFit Active sit in 5th place after Day 3 of the 2014 CrossFit Games.

The ‘Orange Army’ from Sydney, Australia is back competing at the StubHub Center after a 12th place finish at the 2013 CrossFit Games and a dominant performance at the Australia Regional this year.

Active ended the third day of competition with three top 4 placings and are now in contention to become the first affiliate from Australia to finish on the podium at the Games. So far, CrossFit Active’s best performance was in the ‘Worm Sprint’ where they finished 3rd overall.

Wesley Moss caught up with CrossFit Active in the lead up to this year’s competition to get an insight into their training.

The above video gives us a first hand look at how the team prepared for this year’s competition, and includes footage of the affiliate taking part in a ‘worm’ workout. Using heavy kettlebells CrossFit Active were able to replicate a worm, to prepare for it in the odd chance it returned in 2014. It did.
