FruitsVeg

Fruits contain vitamins, minerals, and fiber that are essential for a human’s health. But did you know that our dogs can acquire these nutrients through eating fruits as well? Animals also need to take these essential nutrients to maintain balanced and good health. However, there are certain restrictions and limitations when it comes to animals eating fruits. Not all fruits are appropriate for the safety of your dogs.

To know more, here are five fruits that can be eaten and safe for your dogs;

1. Bananas

Some fruits contain toxic components that can be dangerous to your dogs’ health, but not bananas. Bananas are a hundred percent safe for your dogs. This fruit is rich in potassium, vitamins, and copper which can be beneficial for your dog’s health. Although they won’t be able to get all the nutritional benefits of bananas compared to us humans, it can still be a great option for a treat.

However, even if it’s a healthy treat, your dogs should eat this in moderation. Like other fruits, bananas contain natural sugar. And as we all know, too much sugar can cause weight gain that would lead to other possible health issues. So, as a responsible dog owner, you should keep in mind that you should feed your dogs bananas occasionally.

2. Apples

Another fruit on the list is apples. Apples are a good source of Vitamins A and C, which are essential to keep your dog’s digestive system working properly. It makes your dog’s teeth clean and their breath fresh as well.

However, there is still a certain restriction when dogs eat apples too. When you serve your dogs an apple, make sure to remove its seeds and its core because it contains a component called cyanide which can be harmful to your dogs once chewed.
