As functional fitness continues to grow, so to do profiles of the top athletes across the world.
Compared to 2007 when the CrossFit Games first began, fans are now walking around with shirts of their favourite CrossFitters and stars like Rich Froning and Annie Thorisdottir can barely walk through the crowds at major events without being bombarded with requests for photos or autographs.
Shortly after the final event of the 2014 CrossFit Games, the top three female athletes spoke about how often they get recognised in every day life and how they can spot fellow CrossFitters.
