While he’s not a CrossFitter, it’s hard not to like the Oscar Pistorius story.

The South African runner etched his name in the record books earlier this year by becoming the first double leg amputee to compete at a Summer Olympics, where he took part in the 400 metre race and the mens 4 x 400 metre relay.

Oscar Pistorius also competed at the 2012 Paralympic Games a few weeks later where he picked up two gold medals.

This week, Pistorius was taking on a new challenge.

The 26 year old, known as the ‘Blade Runner’ took on an Arabian racehorse in sprint race over 200 metres.

He went head to head against stud Maserati in the Qatari capital Doha – and won!
