CrossFit Invitational: Team USA!
Well, it was only a matter of time before something like this happened.
For the first time ever, CrossFit will hold an international event featuring Team USA up against Team Europe.
Presented by Reebok, the first ever ‘CrossFit Invitational’ will take place in London on October 13, and be shown LIVE on Eurosport!
The teams are star-studded as well, and it’s fair to say both are pretty much full strength.
Both 2012 Games Champions will lead each team with Rich Froning the captain of Team USA and Annie Thorisdottir in charge of Team Europe.

The event will be held at the ExCel Exhibit Center in London, but at this stage we don’t have any information on workouts, event times and ticketing prices etc.
Team USA have spent the week training together in preparation for the event, and have even got a uniform.
In terms of Team Europe, we haven’t heard too much about their preparation, although it will be good to see Samantha Briggs back in action after she injured herslf during the Open earlier this year.
Unfortunately former Games champion Mikko Salo won’t be taking part in the event, although, the ‘other’ Mikko (Aronpaa) is not a bad replacement.
